Job description

Key responsibilities will include installation and configuration of new and existing Linux servers, installation and updating of software packages, health, security and performance monitoring, perform backups, perform routine audits of systems and software, writing automation scripts, documenting configurations, introduce and integrate new technologies, troubleshooting problems and providing regular status reports and ensure network infrastructure is up and running.

 Core skills required:

  • Hands-on Linux and Windows administration skills, Ubuntu/Debian & Redhat/CentOS and windows server are entirely necessary.
  • Good knowledge of mission-critical common software and technologies such as Apache, tomcat6&7, nodejs, MySQL, PHP, LAMP, MongoDB, IIS, Redis, DNS, NFS, FTP, Nagios server and Microsoft SQL server etc.
  • Hands-on storage management LVM, RAID Levels
  • Basic knowledge of Shell scripting and programming
  • knowledge on git and svn
  • Configuring High availability on DB and app server using load balancers(haproxy, nginx)
  • Configure load balancer haproxy and high availability
  • Configuring master-slave, multi-master replication and cluster knowledge on databases and application servers.
  •      Basic understanding of network technologies (routing, port forwarding, VPN) and ability to configure firewall rules with IP tables and
  •      Knowledge Deploying inbound and outbound rules in windows family.
  •      Knowledge of managing a cloud with virtual networking on AWS and Microsoft Azure
  •      Extensive network intrusion prevention knowledge
